En varios momentos de su fruct\u00edfera carrera pint\u00f3 retratos, ilustr\u00f3 libros y dise\u00f1\u00f3 vitrales, llegando a exhibir sus trabajos en ciudades como Liverpool, Bruselas y en Canad\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, varias de sus obras forman parte de las colecciones permanentes de la Galer\u00eda de Arte de Manchester y del Museo de Victoria y Alberto. Asimismo, sus dise\u00f1os en vitrales todav\u00eda pueden ser contemplados en el <em>Cheltenham College<\/em> y en la Iglesia de San Juan el Divino en Brooklands, Cheshire.<\/p>\n<p>En el \u00e1mbito literario, su conexi\u00f3n con Lewis Carroll fue fundamental. En diciembre de 1878, Carroll vio unas tarjetas de saludo ilustradas por ella; impresionado por su talento art\u00edstico, le escribi\u00f3 de inmediato al editor Arthur Ackermann para solicitar su direcci\u00f3n. Este acercamiento dio pie a una estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n y a un encargo para dibujar para \u00e9l. Inicialmente, el proyecto estaba pensado para un libro de acertijos para ni\u00f1os, pero eventualmente se transform\u00f3 en la ilustraci\u00f3n de sus poemas serios. Estos \u00faltimos se publicaron tras la muerte del escritor bajo el t\u00edtulo <em>Three Sunsets and Other Poems<\/em>, un volumen que incluye doce de las delicadas <a href=\"https:\/\/expreso.co.cr\/alicia\/ilustraciones-de-e-gertrude-thomson\/\">\u00abfantas\u00edas de hadas\u00bb<\/a> (<em>fairy-fancies<\/em>) caracter\u00edsticas del arte de Thomson.<\/p>\n<p>Carroll vio en diciembre de 1878 algunas tarjetas de saludo ilustradas por ella, e impresionado por su arte, le escribi\u00f3 al publicista Arthur Ackermann pidi\u00e9ndole su direcci\u00f3n.
